Going After It

Showing up as myself, authentic and raw. That's me all the way down to the core, I don’t want to have to change who I am to cater to other peoples needs or their wants for that matter. Sometimes you just have to show up a yourself and be as real as your heart desires.

Going against who it is you are feels like suicide some days, when the world is trying to mold and shape you into something that is entirely different than what you are. How do you manage to stay true to yourself while the world and society is wanting you to conform. This is a challenge and can prove to be damn right tiring but half the battle comes from having the courage to show up as yourself and wear who you are on your sleeve.

When you are aren’t afraid to say “This is me, take it or leave it.” Something happening deep within and a powerful transformation starts to occur. You start this internal shift that is guiding you in a direction that is of the best intention for the futrue. Focusing on the positives while still acknowledging the negatives. I often ask myself “How does person X stay so positive and cheerful all the time, don’t they feel the weight of the world slamming down on them.”

It’s only until I find the courage to ask person X how it is they are managing all of the commitments and responsibilities in their life that I truly get an answer, otherwise I am simply fabricating my own version of the events with no legibility about the situation. Going in alone is a hard path to travel, it gets lonely, there isn’t always someone you can talk to and voice out frustrations, so you learn how to express yourself in ways that let the feelings and emotions out.

This is a journey off its own accord and you are continually learning more and more about yourself in the process. The path of Self Discovery is one of heartbreak and sorrow, it shatters away the Delusional Self. The version of who it is you think you are, the version that is trying to live in a fantasy and make out that everything is alright yet you still find yourself walking on eggshells.

The Delusional Self is and always will be temporary in my opinion, it just depends for each of us how long we allow ourselves to have this version attached and downloaded to our hardware (body).Life is like one big video game that has so many side quest but you have to play it, so many people are afraid to play the game because they think they only have the one life and this is what is holding them back. In reality we are the only thing standing in the way of ourselves, we hold ourselves accountable whether we can see it fully or not.

Taking this on wholeheartedly will transform your life into something extraordinary. You simply have to be daring enough to take the leap in the unknown.
